It’s Been a while…(The “Limitless” Dilemma)

Reason being…I’ve been so caught up in life that I haven’t really slowed down to really think about, Selah, what’s actually going on in my life. I haven’t really examined my life lately. It feels like a blur and now I’m here. A movie came out last year called “Limitless”. Great movie. In the movie the main character takes this drug that allows him to access the full potential of his brain. As a result he was able to stop being lazy, write an entire novel in a night and mosey on up the ranks in a fortune five hundred company. An interesting side note: The full potential of his brain transformed his sin from bummy to sophisticated. It didn’t improve his character…at all. But back to the main point. The dilemma to him using the drug was that he would seemingly fast forward through life.He was literally blacking out and waking up to realize that he is in a new phase of his life. That’s kind of how I feel right now. Like I’m fast forwarding through life. If I’m honest my favorite excuse (and phrase) lately for not stopping and thinking is “Time doesn’t stop and neither can I.” Which couldn’t be farther from the truth (Currently laughing at my foolishness) because the bible tells us over and over again to “Selah” and sit at the feet of the Father and to Sabbath.
Interesting thought: The Bible says in Ephesians 5:15-16 to “15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” I strongly believe that one of the best uses of time is to stop and seriously think on one’s life.
